Dr. Mordechai Kedar-The Persecuted Church

If you truly want to understand who hates Christians, why they persecute them, what drives their hate, where persecution is happening, and, most importantly, what you can do to stop the hate, come to a special presentation by Israeli professor Dr. Mordecai Kedar. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 Two lectures: 6PM – 7:30PM & 8PM – 9:30PM New location: Fire Station 2nd floor, 2070 Waldemere Street, East of Tamiami Trail across from Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Parking entrance on Hawthorne Street behind the Fire Station. Florida State Fair

Thursday, February 5, 8 a.m. - Monday, February 16, 9 p.m.

The Florida State Fair welcomes visitors to the first state fair of the year. Animal lovers can explore the agriculture exhibits with over 6,000 animals, everything from baby chicks to Llamas. Whether you love white knuckle rides or family friendly, you'll find over 100 rides on one of the largest midways in the United States. Sample traditional fair foods or the latest concoctions; everything from Ramen Noodle Burgers to Bacon Ice Cream. After 110 years, no one does it better than the Florida State Fair!

Bradenton Area Riverwalk Regatta

Saturday, February 7, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Free family fun! New to the area, the Bradenton Area Riverwalk Regatta will have electrifying Formula 2 Powerboat Superleague Racing. In addition to the powerboat racing, you can start the morning with a Pee Wee Fishing tournament and 5K run. Then check out all the events at the riverwalk including World Champion: Frisbee Dogs Show, BMX Stunt Show, and XPOGO Show. Plus enjoy the Bright House/Bay News 9/Pittsburgh Pirates family fun zone, an art gallery, Jefferson Starship 40th Annivresary Tour Concert and much more! After the boat races enjoy the Zambelli International Fireworks Spectacular and continue the evening on Bradenton Main Street.
