ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say an Allegiant Air flight made an emergency landing at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport after a flight attendant was injured during turbulence.
The flight was en route from Fort Lauderdale to Asheville, North Carolina, on Monday when a flight attendant suffered head injuries during the turbulence.
Airport Operations Manager Lloyd Tillmann told the Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/UQutlB ) the 147 passengers on board were taken off the plane while arrangements were made for another flight to North Carolina.
He says the flight attendant was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her condition wasn't immediately available.
